Magistraţii de la Curtea de Apel Bucureşti au decis arestarea preventivă a lui Istvan Beke şi Zoltan Szocs, liderii grupării extremiste Mişcarea celor 64 de Comitate.
Cei doi acuzaţi că au intenţionat să comită un atentat terorist în Târgu Secuiesc, cu ocazia evenimentelor programate a avea loc de Ziua Naţională a României, pe 1 decembrie.
Procurorii DIICOT susţin că i-au interceptat pe Beke şi Szocs în momentul în care discutau despre posibilitatea de a pune la cale “un atac care să atragă atenţia asupra Ţinutului Secuiesc. Să fie ceva cum nu s-a mai făcut, ceva care să ajungă şi pe BBC”.
Toth Balint, purtătorul de cuvânt al Mişcării, susţine că “Beke şi Szocs au fost arestaţi din cauza unei presupuse conversaţii” şi că “la ultimele percheziţii s-au descoperit doar câteva volume scrise de Wass Albert. Dar acestea nu sunt bombe. Nu sar în aer”.
În aceste condiţii, Toth Balint a solicitat reprezentanţilor UDMR să ceară, în mod public, prezentarea dovezilor în baza cărora au fost arestaţi Beke şi Szocs. Mai mult, Toth susţine că “pe 10 octombrie, când procurorii spun că a avut loc conversaţia compromiţătoare dintre Beke şi Szocs, cei doi nu au luat legătura nici telefonic, nici personal”.
Toth Balint se plânge că “nu înţelegem de ce sunt supravegheaţi membrii organizaţiei noastre, care se ocupă de evenimente culturale” şi se întreabă dacă “şi membrii ONG-urilor similare sunt supravegheaţi?”.
