„Se verifică avanposturile din țară” și „în acest moment au venit deja pentru pregătiri peste 100 de soldați americani”, a anunțat, marți, ministrul Apărării, Vasile Dîncu, în cadrul unei conferințe de presă de la Spitalul Militar din București.
„Suntem pregătiți de multă timp și avem mai multe locuri unde pot fi găzduiți soldații americani sau din cadrul altor forțe militare. Suntem pregătiți din perspectivă logistică, dar și prin prisma celorlalte pregătiri specifice care se fac”, a arătat el.
Ministrul Apărării a mai spus că, alături de specialiștii români în logistică, americanii se ocupă în aceste zile de pregătirea sosirii în țară a celorlalte trupe. „Asta înseamnă că nu va dura mult până vor veni și restul trupelor”, a explicat Dîncu.
Pe fondul tensiunilor Rusia-Ucraina, circa 1.000 de militari americani vor ajunge în România în această lună, după ce Statele Unite au anunțat că vor întări prezența militară la solicitarea țării noastre.
Vor veni din Germania, acolo unde regimentul 2 Cavalerie este staționat, din același loc în care în trecut au mai venit în marș și au mai trecut prin țara noastră, participând la exerciții militare comune sau interacționând cu populația civilă prin orașele din România.
