Șeful SRI, Eduard Hellvig, a fugit de presă în Parlament, marți după audierea la comisia de specialitate, iar apoi a transmis un comunicat laconic.
Astfel, atacurile cibernetice, activităţile de spionaj şi cele asociate fenomenului „fake news” s-au intensificat în ultima perioadă, dat fiind contextul regional, a evidenţiat directorul SRI, Eduard Hellvig, la şedinţa Comisiei comune permanente a Camerei Deputaţilor şi Senatului pentru exercitarea controlului parlamentar asupra activităţii SRI, informează comunicatul de presă.
Hellvig a prezentat, la solicitarea comisiei parlamentare, o analiză de securitate din perspectiva atribuţiilor legale ale SRI şi în contextul situaţiei tensionate din Ucraina.
În acest context, el a prezentat şi o analiză privind riscurile de securitate la care ar putea fi expusă România în perioada următoare în funcţie de factorii externi.
“Membrilor comisiei li s-a subliniat importanţa şi reala necesitate a actualizării pachetului de legi privind securitatea naţională, cu atât mai mult cu cât mediul regional de securitate este într-o dinamică continuă”, se arată în comunicatul citat.
Potrivit comunicatului, „SRI a informat consistent şi timpuriu beneficiarii legali, potrivit competenţelor prevăzute de lege, pe subiectele discutate în cadrul acestei şedinţe şi îşi reiterează determinarea de a continua să lucreze în interesul statului român şi al cetăţenilor săi, în strânsă legătură cu celelalte instituţii abilitate pentru prezervarea securităţii naţionale”.
