Poliţiştii de frontieră continuă să lupte pentru protejarea graniţelor, mai ales după ce Ungaria şi-a închis practic frontiera cu Serbia şi s-au primit informaţii că migranţi s-ar putea reloca pe traseul de România.
Chiar vineri dimineaţa, poliţiştii de frontieră de la punctele din Sânnicolau Mare şi Lunga au prins 14 migranţi, 11 sirieni şi 3 iranieni, care doreau să treacă din Serbia în România pentru a putea ajunge în vestul Europei.
Conform reprezentanţilor ITPF, “joi noapte, în jurul orei 03,40, poliţiştii de frontieră din cadrul Sectorului Poliţiei de Frontieră Sânnicolau Mare au observat, cu ajutorul Sistemului Optronic de Supraveghere Attica cu termoviziune, în vegetaţia din apropierea frontierei cu Serbia, pe direcţia localităţii Beba Veche, un grup de persoane care nu îşi justifica prezenţa în zonă.
Imediat, poliţiştii de frontieră au declanşat o acţiune specifică, fiind depistate la aproximativ 50 de metri de linia de frontieră 11 persoane (6 bărbaţi, 4 femei şi 1 minor) care au fost preluate şi transportate la sediul Poliţiei de Frontieră, pentru cercetări”.
Cei trei iranieni, toţi bărbaţi, au fost prinşi în apropiere de Lunga şi duşi la sediul Sectorului Poliţiei de Frontieră Lunga pentru cercetări, în condiţiile în care “prezenţa lor în zonă nu se justifica”.
S-a stabilit că toţi cei 14 imigranţi nu aveau documente de identitate asupra lor, au între 2 şi 30 de ani şi au declarat că au plecat din Serbia cu intenţia de a ajunge în vestul Europei.
