Astra Giurgiu, campioana României la fotbal, a suferit o nouă înfrângere în grupele Europa League, trupa antrenată de Marius Șumudică pierzând, cu 0-4, meciul din deplasare cu AS Roma, de joi seara.
Conștienți că au șanse minime să bifeze surpriza în Italia, jucătorii Astrei au mers pe Olimpico să încerce să-și vândă cât mai scump pielea, iar pentru o repriză chiar au reușit să pună probleme puternicei formații italiene.
Însă plusul de valoare individuale, de forță fizică și de experiență au înclinat net balanța în favoarea “romanilor”, care au controlat disputa mai ales în repriza a doua, când “astralii” au terminat benzina și au părut deseori că se sufocă pe teren.
Nicoară a ratat prima șansă mare a partidei. Scăpat singur cu Allison Becker, l-a luat la țintă pe goalkeeperul gazdelor și a irosit ocazia de a-și trece numele pe lista marcatorilor.
A fost un simplu foc de paie, pentru că Strootman a făcut rapid 1-0, în minutul 15, când a pus latul la o centrare excelentă venită de la Totti, din lovitură liberă.
Teixeira și Alibec au dat mari emoții apărării romane în prima repriză, dar în loc de 1-1 s-a făcut 2-0 pentru gazde chiar înainte de pauză. Totti a executat în forță o lovitură liberă, Lung a respins, cu ajutorul barei, însă doar până la Fazio și argentinianul a punctat pentru 2-0.
În partea a doua s-a jucat într-o singur direcție până spre final. Fabricio, autogol, și Salah au dus scorul la 4-0, iar gazdele au mai ratat și alte ocazii importante prin Totti, Paredes și Iturbe.
Pe final, Roma a luat piciorul de pe accelerație și Alibec a ratat o nouă șansă importantă pentru Astra. Atacantul campioanei României l-a luat și el la țintă pe Allison Becker dintr-o situație excelentă.
Roma – Astra s-a încheiat 4-0, iar campioana României nu-și mai poate propune decât supraviețuirea în grupele Europa League, șansele pentru calificarea în primăvara europeană fiind ca și inexistente.
