Teodor Meleșcanu, ministrul Afacerilor Externe, se află în centrul unui scandal în această perioadă.
Nemulțumit de ideea conform căreia Uniunea Europeană ar urma să aloce fonduri în funcție de respectarea statului de drept, Meleșcanu a precizat că măsura respectivă este una discriminatorie și că cei de la Bruxelles încalcă grosolan principiile europene.
Primii care au sărit la gâtul lui Meleșcanu sunt liderii Uniunii Salvați România. Dan Barna, președintele USR, a anunțat vineri, pe Facebook, că formațiunea politică pe care o conduce solicită oficial demisia lui Meleșcanu din fruntea ministerului.
Mesajul integral al lui Barna arată astfel:
“USR cere demisia imediată a ministrului de Externe, Teodor Meleșcanu! România nu e Polonia!
Ministrul de externe, Teodor Meleșcanu, îndepărtează iar România de Uniunea Europeană, așezând-o pe același palier cu Polonia. Afirmația iresponsabilă potrivit căreia țara noastră respinge intenția Bruxellesului de a condiționa finanțările europene de respectarea statutului de drept nu ține cont de angajamentele pe care și le-a luat România față de instituțiile europene, odată cu aderarea la spațiul comunitar.
În egală măsură, este un nou atac la companiile multinaționale, care-și desfășoară activitatea în România și care contribuie la susținerea mediului privat prin crearea de mii de locuri de muncă. De asemenea, domnul Meleșcanu pare că dorește să cultive, în paralel, un filon naționalist în conștiința publică, ceea ce ar ajuta în retorica anti-UE.
Ba mai mult, la întâlnirea de săptămâna aceasta cu omologul polonez, Jacek Czaputowicz, Meleșcanu a dat de înțeles că România va susține Polonia în cazul în care Consiliul Uniunii Europene va adopta vreo decizie în virtutea Articolului 7 al Tratatului UE, care prevede suspendarea drepturilor de vot ale Poloniei din cauza situației sistemului judiciar polonez.
Înțelegem de aici că România ar vrea să fie ca Polonia, să primească în continuare fonduri europene, dar să continue să schimbe legile justiției fără a ține cont de numeroasele semnale de alarmă primite din partea partenerilor externi.
Le reamintesc celor care îi stabilesc declarațiile domnului Meleșcanu ce prevede Art. 11 alin.1 din Constituție, potrivit căruia statul roman – Se obligă să îndeplinească întocmai și cu bună-credință obligațiile ce-i revin din tratatele la care este parte.
De asemenea, ar trebui să-și aducă aminte de condiționalitățile ex-ante pe care le are România, din care cinci sunt încă neîndeplinite, iar Comisia Europeană se pregătește deja să ne trimită scrisori de pre-suspendare a fondurilor europene.
Pierderea acestor fonduri și poziționarea împotriva Uniunii Europene, aceasta este calea cea mai sigură de a condamna România la subdezvoltare și izolare, o întoarcere abruptă la sărăcia anilor 90.
Nu știm cine i-a dat mandat ministrului de Externe să exprime această poziție anti-UE, în mod cert nu poporul român, de bine ce nu am văzut-o până acum în niciun program de guvernare al actualei coalțtii, dar o respingem fără drept de apel!
Teodor Meleșcanu ar trebui să-și dea demisia din funcția de ministru imediat, pentru că românii nu susțin izolarea țării față de Europa și nici nu au votat pentru asta”.
