Sancţiunile economice prelungite, ieri, cu 6 luni de Uniunea Europeană pentru Rusia, se repercutează asupra Kievului: Putin a înăsprit, la rândul său, sancţiunile pe care le-a impus Ucrainei în sectorul comercial.
Represaliile erau de aşteptat din partea Rusiei faţă de Acordul de liber-schimb al Ucrainei cu UE. De la 1 ianuarie, când intră în vigoare Acordul, Moscova urmează să aplice noi tarife exporturilor ucrainene.
Totodată, Rusia a anunţat că, tot de la 1 ianuarie,va impune un embargo asupra alimentelor ucrainene. Motivul: Ucraina a introdus pe o listă de sancţiuni numele a numeroase bănci ruseşti, firme din domeniul Apărării şi companii aeriene, în concordanţă cu sancţiunile impuse Rusiei de către UE.
Bruxellesul să impună o sancţiuni ample Moscovei în urma anexării, de către Rusia, a Peninsulei ucrainene Crimeea, în martie 2014.
