Magistraţii de la Curtea de Apel Bucureşti au decis, joi, eliberarea sub control judiciar a lui Gheorghe Nichita, fostul primar al Iaşiului.
Decizia este definitivă. Nichita se afla în arest la domiciliu în dosarul în care este acuzat că a luat mită de la afaceristul Tiberiu Urdăreanu.
Nichita a fost trimis în judecată în acest dosar în decembrie anul trecut, fiind acuzat oficial de luare de mită. Alături de el şi de Urdăreanu, mai sunt implicaţi în dosar şi Mihail Tănăsescu, vicepreşedinte al grupului de firme UTI, şi Iulius Gabriel Mardarasevici, director IBC.
Conform procurorilor DNA, “în august 2013, în contextul implementării proiectului “Sistem de Management de Trafic în Municipiul Iaşi”, care privea fluidizarea traficului rutier şi pietonal, precum şi scăderea gradului de poluare, finanţat din fonduri europene, Gheorghe Nichita, în calitate de primar, a pretins şi primit de la ceilalţi inculpaţi mai multe foloase necuvenite pentru a agrea câştigarea licitaţiei de către asocierea UTI — IBC şi semnarea contractului respectiv, în valoare de 69.614.309 lei (fără TVA), precum şi pentru asigurarea derulării acestuia în bune condiţii. Anchetatorii arată că, începând cu luna august 2013, Mardarasevici i-a remis lui Nichita următoarele foloase materiale: bani; reduceri de 30-40% din preţurile unor locuri de cazare la Hotel Marriott Bucureşti, în perioada 2013 — 2015, în baza rezervărilor efectuate de SC IBC SRL (aproximativ 15.100 lei); plata în cursul anului 2014 a serviciilor de cazare la o vizită în China, de care au beneficiat Nichita, alţi angajaţi ai primăriei, precum şi oameni de afaceri; beneficii constând în achiziţionarea unor echipamente electronice în perioada ianuarie — februarie 2014 pentru Nichita, în valoare de 20.000 lei.
De asemenea, în cursul anului 2013, Tiberiu Urdăreanu, preşedinte al Consiliului de Administraţie al UTI Grup, la solicitarea lui Nichita, a acceptat să-i remită primarului, prin intermediul firmei IBC, 10% din valoarea contractului, adică suma de 6,9 milioane lei. Aceasta urma a fi dată în raport cu cota de participare a asociaţilor UTI şi IBC la contract, adică 80% reprezenta “contribuţia” UTI, iar 20% — “contribuţia” IBC la banii colectaţi cu titlu de mită pentru Nichita.
Înţelegerea iniţială a fost efectuată între Nichita, Mardarasevici (pentru IBC) şi Urdăreanu (pentru UTI), aceştia din urmă efectuând, cu sprijinul lui Mihail Tănăsescu, demersuri frauduloase pentru colectarea banilor ce urmau a fi daţi cu titlu de mită”.
