Procurorii de la Parchetul de pe lângă Tribunalul București au anunțat, luni, trimiterea în judecată, în stare de libertate, a inculpatei Mihaiela Elena Duță.
Mihaiela Elena Duță, medic de la Serviciul de Ambulanță Puls, este acuzată de comiterea infracțiunii de ucidere din culpă, după ce a fost implicată în moartea fotbalistului camerunez Patrick Ekeng, de la Dinamo București.
Ekeng a murit pe 6 mai 2016, după ce i s-a făcut rău în timpul meciului Dinamo București – Viitorul Constanța, din Liga I la fotbal.
Fotbalistul s-a prăbușit pe gazon, iar medicul care trebuie să asigure serviciul de urgență la partida respectivă a intervenit târziu și în mod necorespunzător.
Ambulanța a avut nevoie de zeci de minute pentru a ajunge cu victima la Spitalul de Urgență Floreasca, unitate aflată în apropierea stadionului, iar conform martorilor abia la spital lui Ekeng i s-au făcut măsuri de resuscitare, dar a fost tardiv.
Ekeng a încetat din viață la 26 de ani, după ce a jucat la echipe precum Le Mans, Lausanne, Cordoba și Dinamo București și după ce a acumulat două selecții în naționala de fotbal a Camerunului.
