Noul ministru al Culturii, Corina Șuteu, consideră “inadmisibil” plagiatul dar nu vrea să pună în discuție cazul colegului ei din guvern, Petre Tobă, pentru care ministrul Educației, Adrian Curaj, i-a revocat pe membrii Consiliul Naţional de Etică cu o zi înainte să dea verdictul asupra tezei sale de doctorat, coordonată de “marele specialist” în coloane oficiale Gabriel Oprea, încă profesor la Academia Naţională de Informaţii “Mihai Viteazul”.
“Sunt de părere că plagiatul este inadmisibil, este o decredibilizare profundă. Nu vreau să vorbesc despre cazul domnului Tobă, dar cred că măsurile care să permită – și înțeleg de la colegul meu, ministrul Educației, că această chestiune se va întâmpla – măsurile legate de comisia care să judece tezele plagiate și să le anuleze sunt fundamentale pentru ca să ne recredibilizăm la toate nivelurile în acest moment. Pentru că, dacă activitatea academică, activitatea de cercetare, activitatea de specializare o decredibilizăm atât de flagrant prin plagiat, nu putem avea pretenția că vom face ceva serios în nimic, în niciun domeniu, nu numai în domeniul Culturii, dar în nici un alt domeniu de specialitate”, a spus Șuteu duminică, la ProTV.
În ciuda recentelor scandaluri din Sănătate și Cultură, Corina Șuteu susține că actualul Guvern este unul de profesioniști: “S-a vorbit foarte mult despre Guvern ca fiind un guvern de tehnocrați. Eu, personal, cred că, în foarte mare măsură, acest Guvern este, de fapt, unul de profesioniști”.
“Profesioniștii și specialiștii sunt o categorie care există tocmai pentru că titlurile lor sunt bazate pe ceva legitim. Ori, în cazul doctoratelor, doctoratele trebuie să fie legitime”, a mai spus ea, exonerându-l, astfel, de vreo vină, pe ministrul Tobă.
Petre Tobă a fost demascat de jurnalistul Emilia Şercan de la Press One, într-un articol intitulat “Tobă de carte”, unde arată că peste 250 din cele 390 de pagini ale tezei de doctorat sunt copy paste din lucrări de specialitate sau din referate postate pe internet.
