Ministrul Mediului, Cristiana Paşca Palmer, a anunţat, luni seara, că ar trebui să ne aşteptăm ca vara acestui an să fie extrem de secetoasă.
“La nivel global, anul 2015 a fost cel mai cald de până acum. Dar există o previziune care arată că 2016 va fi cel puţin la fel de cald, dacă nu şi mai şi. Se previzionează o vară extrem de secetoasă şi ar trebui să ne obişnuim cu ideea că fenomenele extreme vor deveni o constantă”, a anunţat ministrul Mediului, într-o intervenţie avută la TVR 1.
În plus, ministrul Mediului recunoaşte că “există o controversă între specialiştii care susţin că schimbările climaterice sunt declanşate de om şi cei care anunţă că schimbările sunt un fenomen natural care oricum se întâmplă”.
Ministrul Mediului susţine că “cel mai bine ar fi să vedem cum ne putem adapta la această situaţie, pentru că nu mai putem da timpul înapoi să reparăm răul deja făcut” şi anunţă că România are mari probleme din cauza poluării, fenomen care a adus şi măsura de pre-infrigement asupra ţării noastre.
“Există o reţea naţională de staţii monitorizare a calităţii aerului, dar unele sunt depăşite tehnologic, aşa că unele date sunt eronate. La nivel de Bucuresti, sunt 8 staţii, dar functionează numai două. Avem prevăzute resurse la buget, să reparăm aceste staţii, ca toate să dea date corecte. Sunt probleme de poluare a aerului, iar asta a dus România la situaţia de pre-infringement, în special pe 3 oraşe: Bucureşti, Iaşi şi Braşov. Comisia Europeană a monitorizat mai multe oraşe, unele dintre ele s-au conformat, mai suntem cu ele trei în probe. La Braşov lucrurile s-au îmbunătăţit. Atunci când se constată o depăşire a parametrilor, autorităţile locale sunt responabile să ia măsuri”, a declarat Cristiana Paşca Palmer.
