La o zi după ce fostul președinte Traian băsescu a anunțat că intră în cursa pentru fotoliul de primar al Capitalei, contracandidat al lui Nicușor Dan și Gabriela Firea, liderul PMP, Eugen Tomac, se războiește cu oamenii lui Dan Barna, acuzând că „Dacă cineva face jocurile PSD în București, aceia sunt cei de la USR”.
Iată mesajul transmis de Tomac marți, pe Facebook:
„Miza PMP pentru alegerile din București
În primul rând, îi invit pe toți cei care ne acuză nejustificat să renunțe la dubla măsură și să-i întrebe pe cei din USR de ce nu și-au dorit un front comun antiPSD în Capitală.
PMP și-a dorit candidat comun, dar USR s-a opus!!!
PMP a fost primul partid care a avansat numele pentru candidatul comun. Conducerea USR a fost ultima care și-a asumat această candidatură, impunând totodată condiția de a nu invita PMP în acest front politic comun.
Dacă cineva face jocurile PSD în București, aceia sunt cei de la USR!
Noi suntem obligați să mergem cu cei mai buni candidați la Primăria Capitaliei și la sectoare, pentru că nu a existat dorință, nici voință pentru candidați comuni anti PSD”.
