Pentru prima dată în istorie, România a extrădat, joi dimineaţa, un criminal de război.
Savic Grozdan, un bărbat în vârstă de 46 de ani, este acuzat că în perioada 1992-1995, în timpul războiului din fosta Iugoslavie, a comis infracţiuni extrem de grave, respectiv a ucis şi a torturat câteva zeci de persoane.
Pus sub învinuire, Grozdan a dispărut din ţara sa natală, Bosnia-Herţegovina. A fost dat în urmărire în toată lumea, dar Savic a reuşit să se stabilească într-o localitate din apropiere de Timişoara.
Bărbatul nu a ieşit în evidenţă, lucru care l-a ajutat să stea, practic, ascuns timp de 20 de ani. În cele din urmă, a fost prins într-un moment în care a încercat să treacă graniţa. Dorea să ajungă în Germania.
Procurorii de la Parchetul de pe lângă Curtea de Apel Timişoara au decis reţinerea lui, iar pe 10 decembrie magistraţii de la Curtea de Apel Timişoara au decis să aprobe extrădarea lui Savic.
