George Scripcaru, primarul Braşovului, a anunţat că este încrezător în legătură cu posibilitatea ca până la sfârşitul lui 2019 să fie dat în folosinţă noul Aeroport Internaţional Braşov.
Lucrările au început de mult la acest proiect, dar au fost sistate momentan pentru că cei de la Consiliul Judeţean Braşov nu mai aveau posibilitatea de a accesa finanţarea necesară pentru finalizarea lucrării, respectiv 30 de milioane de euro.
Totuşi, Scripcaru a anunţat că Primăria Municipiului Braşov a preluat lucrarea şi urmează să intre în proiect cu o pondere de 51%.
“În momentul de faţă, acest proiect, cel mai important al Braşovului, are o problemă de finanţare, iar municipiul Braşov poate să susţină împreună cu Consiliul Judeţean continuarea lucrărilor pentru finalizarea investiţiei. În acest sens, municipiul reşedinţă, în baza analizelor făcute cu colegii de la Consiliul Judeţean, va supune aprobării plenului Consiliului Local din această lună propunerea ca municipiul Braşov să intre în acest proiect cu o pondere de 51%. Am început discuţiile cu BERD şi există disponibilitatea pentru accesarea unei finanţări, având în vedere că avem un grad scăzut de îndatorare şi ne permitem un împrumut, faţă de Consiliul Judeţean care are un grad mare de îndatorare. Acest proiect nu poate fi implementat aşa cum s-a încercat până acum doar de Consiliul Judeţean, ci trebuie făcut împreună cu Primăria. Este un proiect public, o investiţie foarte importantă a Braşovului pe care trebuie să o finalizăm”, a fost mesajul transmis de Scripcaru.
Autorităţile locale, în frunte cu edilul Scripcaru, speră ca aeroportul să fie dat în folosinţă până la sfârşitul lui 2019 în condiţiile în care “în acest moment, la viitorul aeroport mai sunt de executat suprafeţele de mişcare, turnul de control, terminalul, lucrările la staţia de transformare electrică, canalizarea pentru apele pluviale. Pe parcursul acestui an sperăm să finalizăm măcar suprafeţele de mişcare şi terminalul”.
Consiliul Judeţean Braşov a cheltuit, până acum, 24,7 milioane de euro cu acest proiect şi mai pune la bătaie un credit de 3,5 milioane de euro neutilizat, însă este nevoie ca prin intermediul Primăriei Braşov să se obţină finanţări de încă cel puţin 30 de milioane de euro pentru finalizarea proiectului.
